Sample Answer

The diagram shows how potato chips are made.

First of all, when a batch of potatoes arrives at the manufacturing plant, they are examined by hand for quality before being washed in cold water. The potatoes are then sent to a peeling machine to remove their skins and eliminate potato peels and starch. Then, the peeled potatoes arc transported to a bucket conveyor, which moves them one by one into a slicing machine, after which the slices are distributed on another conveyor belt and air-dried as they move along into the deep fryer. The chips are then cooked in the deep fryer, and after the completion of this process, they are salted and transported by a flat belt conveyor to the bag packer machine, which feeds chips into each bag. Alternatively, if the chips are to be packaged in a can, a different machine is used.

In summary, potatoes are washed, peeled, sliced, and fried to produce potato chips.
