At a glance, the primary Southland exports can be seen altering over the period. It is quite clear from the chart that in 2000, meat products were the chief exports. However, at present, it is dairy products. In 2025, international tourism is expected to take the lead. In 2000, meat products that were worth 6 million pounds got exports from this area. However, in 2020, a sharp decline by 0.4 billion in the same commodity can be seen. Also, it is set to decrease further to a point of 5 billion in next 5 years.
Approximately 10 billion pounds of dairy products are getting exported from Southland, which increased by 3 billion in comparison to the export value of 2000.
